Oh, and doing drills in a line or a staggered formation is ideal. Have at least 2 people (who know what to look for) watch and critique.

- First off, they gotta have a strong passion and love for bhangra. This means they're willing to do whatever it takes to improve (inside and outside of practice). If you don't see this in the noobs, this is the first thing you want to cultivate in them! Do whatever it takes to get them excited about bhangra! Only then can you move on to doing drills and hardcore practices. If they don't absolutely LOVE it, they're not going to make much progress, no matter what you do.
That is so true. Some people just can't get the beat! - Mariam

She picked up bhangra relatively quickly and was able to dance well. Obviously, she needed to learn expressions and bhangra mannerisms, but she was a good dancer and I needed good girl dancers.
I wish someday that I am on a team of dancers that are not afraid to do bhangra in public. I have a tendency to bust out in public, but you'd be surprised how many experienced dancers don't have the confidence to bust out random jhummer in public. lol

Such a beautiful level of bhangra love to reachI sooooo agree w/ Kinnell and Karan!
It's like being madly in love... You don't care who sees, and you can't help yourself
