this is what you call a PROPER competition/committee.........their top priority isn't making money, but to serve/protect the bhangra community to its fullest......

While I 100% support the initiative:

a) I don't believe his FB page is relevant information as posting that profile picture does not necessarily imply a lack of contrition. Anything outside of his conduct at the comp that isn't clearly articulated from him should not be taken into consideration At least without discussing it with him, it's unfair to judge (i.e. his posts are his own voice, his profile picture is open to interpretation).

b) I would remove his personal information on the fb screenshot such as his birthday and his last name, as I think the point can be made without having to remove that privacy (i.e. the profile picture could obviously still be visible).

Otherwise great work and thank you for holding teams accountable and yourselves accountable, hopefully this will spur dancers and captains to maintain sportsmanship at all times during weekends.

unsportsmanlike, yeah. i definitely think so. but i mean, it is competition. emotions do run high, every single performer puts a LOT of time into their respective routines -- so something like a 'suck-it' gesture, I can understand. on the same note though, you do need to be weary of the people watching. banning Sunny Malton from competition though -- I find that a little harsh. SGPD veteran, certainly one of their better dancers -- he should DEFINITELY know better than to do something like that when he knows he's being filmed. I find the punishment a little harsh tho, he was just being stupid. didn't hurt anyone. silly, foolish, but doesn't deserve that kind of punishment -- maybe just the written apologies but not the suspension.

edit: ontop of that wwe is wrestling weither its staged or not. those men doing that are considered athletes therefore they are men of sports(sportsmen if you will) and they do act like that. so ya. he was acting sportsman like. as for the misconduct.






furthermore calling out vic was a dick move....

definitely agree with Swi that anything outside of Idols' jurisdiction is irrelevant and shouldn't be mentioned. Mentioning facebook discredits Idols, and maybe even mentioning the posts on bhangrateamsforum. He did say sorry before being provoked/ before the topic developed.


Did Idols even contact him before this ridiculous post? If I were him, I'd only apologize to the show and sponsors, nothing further like apologizing on BTF lol

Thats fucked up to put that dude on blast like that! I don't even know him but thats harsh to do after hes apologized.

Honestly, Bhangra Idols is abusing their power on this. They are trying everything they can to humiliate the guy; posting his facebook pic was completely unnecessary. Suspending him wanting an apology letter AND apology on BTF ?!?! lol giving him deadlines like its bhangra court or some shit. I'd send a letter alright but it wouldn't be a nice one; getting suspended anyways, so fuck it!

Not saying what Sunny did was appropriate neither am I encouraging it, but I don't like how BI handled the situation. I feel like they now owe him an apology. Its wrong to let organizations take unnecessary advantage of the performers.
