You are right in that they bring a different style to competitions. It's definitely a lot different than live or traditional bhangra and I have no problem with that. My biggest thing is they repeat everything over and over. Seems like they've been doing the same exact set for the past 5 years.AnnayPaul said:This was fun to watch. I like their style and competitions need teams like them...
no disrespect..but live gets boring..if every fuckin team in the universe does it.
You have a valid point, but until the judging rubric allocates points for bringing a new routine from the previous competition or previous season ("season" would need to be defined), APD will continue to bring home trophies. They may not get as much street cred for bringing back crowd-pleasing elements from previous routines with little modification, but their placement at a competition should not be contested based on that sole reason.Shubh said:You are right in that they bring a different style to competitions. I guess you make a valid point in that competitions don't really care if you bring the same routine back. But doesn't APD themselves get bored doing the same thing year after year? Don't they want to do something new and challenge themselves? It's easy being clean and coordinated if you practice the same simple moves over and over. I personally think they take the easy way out, have no originality or creativity.kinnell said:You have a valid point, but until the judging rubric allocates points for bringing a new routine from the previous competition or previous season ("season" would need to be defined), APD will continue to bring home trophies. Didn't you see kinnel's checklist? they added a bunch of more segments that they never did any other year. But APD style will always be APD style. They're the only monkeys willing to risk themselves for these ridiculous stunts and it's their signature crowd pleaser. And with all due respect, PDDS looked like it had the same routine once you guys went live for many years too; that's because you followed the standard segments most traditional/live teams would include.Shubh said:I guess you make a valid point in that competitions don't really care if you bring the same routine back. Congratulations on the 1st Place.
Please expand on this notion. I would love to know how "people from less reputable teams" should be conducting themselves and how they should be responding to teams who win trophies.dhamijatt said:oh and i love how people from much less reputable teams start hating

a lot of people on here are just staight up talking shit instead of giving constructive critisim. APD's style is something that makes them who they are. What would RPD be without the folk?Pooja said:Please expand on this notion. What posted in this thread has not been constructive? No one has outright hated on APD at all. Each post has been respectful and constructive. The only shit talking was you insinuating some people are part of "less reputable teams".dhamijatt said:a lot of people on here are just staight up talking shit instead of giving constructive critisim. You need something to back up your critism.
