Thanks for the information and updates Saleem :)
I'm glad you are doing the backups at non-peek times because that can really have an impact on the site nagivation/operation. For PHP & MySQL, the gzip compression algorithm works wonders.

Old, but sickkk track even to this day...
Despite all the negatives, POL did have some useful topics/information. You just had to be more keen on searching for it through all the trash talk.
Also, everyone can't just all of sudden hate on POL. If there was no POL, there would be no BTF. ;)
I was just glad to see BTF flourish quickly...
Manjit, do you know about this news? ;)
Regardless of Aman winning some best dancer award, he's still a wanksta ;D Actually, it would make more sense by saying banksta in his case!
Much love! :D

Dear Nikhil,
I believe you misunderstood what I meant by the term "resources." I fully understand that AVAP is a non-profit competition. Sub-contracting to professionals (not sure if you were being sarcastic) should not be the goal, unless these "professionals" are doing the work for free...
Agree with you Varun. It seems like very low-budget. The big, plain/arial fonts in green letters that appear with very uncreative transitions are a sign of someone making it with very little time on their hands and/or using a simple one-click software like Windows Movie Maker. Also, I'm not a...
Great video! Love the describing of guy-girl gestures/interaction in college at the motherland.. it made me smile ;D That guy's voice is amazing.
Thanks for posting Simar bhai!

A much better solution than what you suggested (a stickied thread dedicated to upcoming competitions) is what BTF already has: Calendar
You can check it out by clicking the "Calendar" button in the BTF navigation menu (red bar across the top of the site)... or by going to this direct link...
Maddd old video!
Mitch Hyare & Rayman Bhuller tied for 1st place in that "World's Best Dholi Competition" a long while back.
I *believe* both dholi's were trained by Ustad Lal Singh Bhatti at one point or another.
Rayman teaches at Dhol Nation Academy (Surrey, BC). He's also the dholi for...

P.S. - Vick, you're record is insannnneeeee! 200-15? Sri Lankan kid? wtf. haha. You must play a lot man.
That's awesome. I enjoyed watching it. I think that live team is pretty good too! I'm glad they showed a traditional team because it's a lot different than a typical dance team (which a lot of people expect to see).

Way to jack another person's words without even citing your source ::) Mr. Sonny's quote is taken from the website below.

Very nice videos. I watched the top 2 (Crisis of Credit Visualized) and then the 3rd video (Tech Evolution). That 3rd video was scary at times (regarding how advanced we have gotten and how much more advanced we can get), but very informative.
The Crisis of Credit was especially interesting...
